2000 Year of the Dragon Late Harvest White Riesling

Made from grapes harvested on January 1, 2000, this nectar of the gods is our entry in the "first enological baby of the millennium" sweepstakes. For our fortitude in leaving these grapes on the vine for the extra ten nerve-wracking weeks, Mother Nature has rewarded us with this sinfully delicious miracle of the calendar. The "noble rot" dehydrated the berries, bringing about this wonderously intense concentration of sweet apricot, pineapple and honeydew melon fruit, artfully balanced by a framework of acidity and honeyed botrytis. This wine can stand alone as dessert or serve as a killer complement to melon, a dry fruit tart, or Roquefort cheese.

"An outstanding wine, whose grapes were picked on 1/1/2000. It is medium sweet, refined and intense in flavor, and very long on the palate. Tastes of peach, fresh apple, pineapple, and honey." -- Restaurant Wine Magazine
