1999 Sauvignon Blanc

The addition of Semillon defines symbiosis, where the floral, fleshy, feminine apple-and-melon-fruited Semillon fills in the open spaces of the flinty, lean, masculine Sauvignon Blanc, with its fresh grass, tart lemon, and hints of tobacco. A dollop of French oak lends the spice of graham toast and elegant creaminess to the texture.
